The Pearl stoneware mug is adorned with coloured dots symbolising the handcrafted design of Japanese Okinawan pearls. Symbolised by circles, these surround the base of the mug and form a very pretty garland of fir green dots with 4 golden circles to complete the ensemble. These are a nod to the gold leaves on some Japanese beads.
