Paulistano Chain Mail Armchair

Created by Brazilian designer Paulo Mendes da Rocha, winner of the 2006 Pritzker Architecture Prize, the Paulistano armchair is considered as a mythical object of contemporary design.

Here it is declined in a version entirely in stainless raw steel with its base consists of a single steel rod bent and his coat of chain mail that appears to float while filtering the light with a nice play transparency.

The Paulistano armchair is part of the permanent collection of the exhibits at the Museum of Modern Art in New York (MoMA).
